While they may look cute, they are very destructive and we were pretty pleased when they went into hibernation in late October. However, they are back out of hibernation as of this past weekend! blah!!!So far this year, we spotted 3 of the 5 and trust me...they are stinky and big! I can smell a groundhog 40 feet away!
We have tried throwing moth balls around our yard and spraying undiluted white vinegar along our property line. So far, those two things have not worked. Today, I ordered a repellent from an online store that is supposed to repel groundhogs from coming onto your property and the ones on your property, drive them off. We are hoping this will work!
Do any of you have issues with groundhogs ripping up your yard? If so, what did you do about it?

my husband shoots them
Thankfully in my part of the world, there are no ground hogs invading our garden, yard. That's why I read this post because I was curious about them.
No groundhogs here in Arkansas...However, we have a mole problem in my yard...Going to have to get aggressive in killing them. They have tore up my yard and it is now smooshy in areas! I wish I could shoot the moles! LOL
