For the past 6 weeks we have been extremely busy with planning our grand daughter's upcoming third Birthday party! This year we will be doing a Disney Princess theme in a purple, pink and white color scheme.
Right now I am on the hunt for the perfect Birthday Invitations to go along with our birthday party theme and had no luck with any of the offline retailers. My daughter told me about some she saw online so this afternoon I did some online shopping, and found the perfect ones! yeah! I am so relieved that I found some invitations to go along with our party theme as they just complete the overall theme that we are working on.
While I was shopping for the invitations, I did manage to order a few other things like the princess castle pinata, candy for the pinata, table decorations, three party games, loot bags, helium balloons, party streamers and some tableware all in the princess party theme.
Next week I will be visiting a local bakery to pick out a cake and get that ordered. I am hoping that they can construct a castle shaped birthday cake and do it in the colors we are working with. Hopefully it will be affordable as I am starting to get close to the budget that I set for the party supplies.
Last year our birthday party theme was Dora the Explorer and this year we wanted to do something different and a little more age appropriate. Gia is really into anything Disney Princess related, so we thought it would make the perfect theme for this year's party.
We are expecting about 70 guests this year and will be holding the birthday party on the grounds of a local historical garden. We are looking forward to decorating everything and hubby has been thinking about hiring a "princess" to attend the party. We will have to wait to see if we can fit that into our party budget.
After the party is over, I will make another blog post and share some photos from Gia's big day! If any of you have any toddler girl birthday party tips to share with me, please leave them in the comment form below. Thanks!
