Berries are a versatile fruit that is good for you!

We love a wide variety of fruits here in our home but one of our favorites has got to be various berries! We love strawberries, blackberries, blueberries and red raspberries and I try to keep at least one type of berry on hand every week to incorporate into our diets.

There is so much you can do with a bowlful of fresh berries like making them into a fresh fruit juice, a fruit smoothie, toss them into some cereal or oatmeal, toss them into some ice cream or yogurt or just eat them fresh from the bowl.

We all need to be consuming more fresh fruits and berries are a great way to go. When I have an abudance of raspberries and blackberries from my bushes in my backyard, I will freeze them for later use or turn them into some great tasting freezer jam or jelly.
